“Adaraneeya Niagara” is the first Sri Lankan teledrama to be produced in United States. The story of the teledrama involves two Sri Lankan immigrant families and it is directed by Chithral de Mel. The shooting of the teledrama began in the third week of January and it is reported that the shooting will last for 45 days.
The teledrama crew include popular Sri Lankan artists like Janaka Kumbukage, Menaka Rajapaksha and Nehara Peiris. The filming of the teledrama is being done around Boston in Massachusetts.
The teledrama got an early popularity due to the gossips spreading about Nehara Peiris and Menaka Rajapaksha. Nehara is in the process of getting divorce from Nirmal and there are rumors that Menaka has also filed for a divorce. It is the Winter time in Uniter States and the captured movements of the “Adaraneeya Niagara” crew enjoying the USA trip will give clear evidence of the couples relationship.
